Vivi lake scientific studies awards in Evenkia.
Regional competition on the best work dedicated to the geographical center of Russia takes place from 4 of september to 12 of october. Indivuduals and research groups are invited to participate in the competition.
The works should be dedicated to one of the following areas:
- Tourism and travel routs.
- Flora and fauna of Vivi lake.
- Topography and roads.
According to Nikolay Finashkin, Deputy Chief of Evenkia municipal region administration on the indigenous people, tourism and sport, the winner will receive an award of 10 thousand roubles.
Best projects will be involved in regional tourism development.
"Geographical center of Russia situated at Vivi lake is one of the most promissing tourism destinations in Evenkia along with the Tungus event place." - said Nikolay Finashkin.
Geographical center of Russia is situated on the south-east shore of Vivi lake. Its coordinates are 94° 15' EL and 65° 25' NL. "Golden flower of Russia" monument was erected there in 1992.
