History, legends and souvenirs at the Korbu waterfall

A new tourist information office was open near the Korbu waterfall in Altaisky reserve. A wooden building looks like a traditional Altai yurta. A wall that faces the waterfall has a very large window; part of the roof is made of glass as well. Here tourists can get information on Altaisky biosphere reserve, learn history and legends of the Teletskoe Lake and the Korbu waterfalls, read local papers and buy souvenirs.
There three more tourist information centers already working in Altaisky reserve. They are situated at Artibash, Yailu and Bele cordon.
The Korbu waterfall is situated at the Bolshaya Korbu River that falls into Teletskoe Lake.The only way to get here is by crossing the lake in a motor boat. This tour is very popular with tourists; about 30 thousand people visit the site during high season.
