"Protected areas management system"
A seminar dedicated to protected areas management system was held in Pushkino on 5 - 6 of November. It was organized by the Russian Institute for Managers and Specialists of Forestry Sector in cooperation with the Swedish Forest Agency.
European colleagues informed the audience on nature protection system of Sweden, financial and management principles of Tyresta national park and visitors’ management in Swedish, Estonian and Latvian national parks.
Yuri Buivolov, Rosselhoznadzor representative, told about legal basis of Russian national parks and reserves' activities, objectives and tasks they have to fulfill.
We were also invited to share our experience in ecotourism sector. Tatyana Kalishevskaya made a speech on cooperation experience between travel companies and protected areas and Larisa Basanets spoke about ecotourism potential of Russia and ecotourism development perspectives.
