Reserve: Central-Forest Reserve Chisty Les Research station

You have a unique opportunity to visit the “Chisty Les” research station which is independent department of Central-Forest reserve. Followers of Valnentin Pazhetnov, the founder of the station and outstanding Russian ecologist, continue his study and works to release brown bear cubs into wild nature. You will get to know many interesting facts about brown bears and wolves. You will research plant species and associations, birds and animals that is indicative for South taiga climatic zone. What for has the nature created peat bogs and how is our live related to them? Come and discover!

Itinerary:

1 Day

06:31 - arrival to Staraya Toropa railway station, transfer to the hotel;
08:00 - accommoration;
09:00 - breakfast;
10:30 - transfer to biostation;
11:00 - ecological trail around biostation;
14.00 - lunch;
14:30 - zoological excursion;
17:00 - lection about bears and wolves with unique films demonstartions;
19.00 - transfer to the hotel;
20:00 - dinner;
23:00 - stars on the sky excursion ( if the sky is clean).

2 Day

08:00 - ornitological excursion;
10:00 - breakfast;
11:00 - deep forest excursion;
13:00 - lunch;
14:00 - seasonal excursion in the forest to collect nature gifts:
